Shawne MacIntyre is an accredited appraiser with the International Society of Appraisers. A fine art specialist, she appraises Canadian, European and International fine and decorative art.
She has an Honours Bachelors degree from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Museum Studies degree from the University of Toronto, focusing on Art History and Material Culture studies.
With over fourteen years of experience in the art and heritage industry, her past employment includes the Vancouver Art Gallery, the Royal Ontario Museum and Sotheby's (Canada) Ltd. She has also worked at reputable commercial art galleries specializing in Canadian art (historical and contemporary) and Inuit and First Nations ethnographic material.
Shawne presents art & antique appraisal seminars for the insurance industry in British Columbia and Alberta, Chubb Insurance of Canada and for additional events. She recently toured with the Canadian Antiques Roadshow as a fine art expert. Watch the Video
